Born in Linz (Austria) 1959 Uli Langthaler studied Bass at the Conservatory of the city of Vienna with Rudolf Hansen. From1987 to 1991 he was member of the United Stage Orchestra Vienna. Since 1990 Uli Langthaler teaches jazz-bass improvisation and ensembles at the Vienna MUK University of the city of Vienna and since 1992 at the GMPU University in Carinthia/Austria
